Import - Single / Batch File Options

The File(s) Options can be found at the middle of the .Obj Import dialog...

...the individual options are described below.

Index:

Single .obj File:

This option is mutually-exclusive with the Multiple/Batch Files option, listed below. When this mode is enabled, once you click OK, a standard File Requester dialog will be presented to allow you to select the (single) .obj file to Import.

Multiple/Batch Files:

This option is mutually-exclusive with the Single .obj File option, listed above. When this mode is enabled, once you click OK, a Folder Requester dialog will be presented to allow you to select a folder/directory containing one or more .obj files to be Imported.

(New - v2.6) NOTE: This option imports multiple .obj files into Cinema 4D as multiple meshes - if you want to import a sequence of .obj files as an animation, use the new ".Obj Animation Sequence Import" feature instead.

Each .obj file found within that folder will be Imported and activates two additional options...

Include Sub-Folders:

When the Multiple/Batch Files mode is enabled, this option tells the plugin to also look in any sub-folders (children of the selected folder) and Import .obj files found in those as well.

Folder Tree as Hierarchy Tree:

This option is only available when the Include Sub-Folders option is enabled. When this option is active/enabled, the plugin will generate 'branches' in the Object Manager hierarchy tree, by creating 'Null' objects that represent the folders and will Import any .obj files found in those folders as child meshes of the approriate hierarchy branch.

NOTE: This is a reciprical/complimentary Import feature to the File Per Mesh & Create Tree Folders Export options.
