Hello Mr. Mortl,

I apologize that my mismanagement of debt has come to a case! I'm sure you've heard many sob stories, so at the risk of annoying you with one more, I lost my job because of COVID and unemployment didn't come in for quite a while. I was actually a longstanding customer with Bank of America and hope to continue to do business with them in the near future. You can actually see on my credit report that I was diligent about my payments up until a certain point.

I am trying to make good on my debt with them as well as my other debtors. Mr. Brain Moynihan of Bank of America had mentioned negotiating a smaller lump sum.

I am really strapped for cash because of the unemployment situation I was in, but things are getting better and I do want to make good on the debt. I can do a lump sum of $525 - that won't put me out. 

If this is acceptable to you, I would love for the debt to be deemed as paid in full waiving any claims/liability I have against BoA, settling with prejudice, a lawsuit dismissal, and vice versa. I would of course make the appropriate payment to your party and send it certified / guaranteed mail, once you send me this information.

Side note - during my downtime I spent a lot of time learning much more about financial skills. I feel that I have made good progress in my financial education and responsibility, and because of this, I am looking forward to being a longstanding customer of Bank of America once again.
