The Black & White tool removes all color. It gives you control over tone shifting where the color wheel controls the balance of tones used to create the final black and white output.

Component Balance: Selects the hues to use for black and white luminance. A gray setting uses Red, Green and Blue channels equally. The default setting uses predominantly Green, often the channel with the strongest luminance and contrast (and the one most prominent in human vision).
