Requirements
The following configurations
are supported*:
- PC 32bit (R9.6+, R10.1+, R11.026+,
R11.5+, R12+)
- PC 64bit (R9.6+, R10.1+, R11.026+,
R11.5+, R12+)
- Mac 32bit Universal Binary
(R9.6+, R10.1+, R11.026+, R11.5+, R12+)
- Mac 64bit Universal Binary
(R11.026+, R11.5+, R12+)
* NOTES:
- The '+' on the end of the
above versions means that it will work with that version, or
most later versions - though you should use the version that
most closely matches your version of Cinema 4D.
- The Cinema 4D "Layers"
feature is not supported in the R9.6 versions of the plugin (or
Cinema 4D).
- There are no functional
differences between the R10.1 and R11 versions of the plugin... the only reason for the R11 build
is to support 64bit on the Mac. If you are using a PC or 32bit
Mac, then either package should work fine.
- With all of the above in mind...
massive changes were made starting with Cinema 4D R12, so if
you are using R12, you must use the R12 (or later) version of
the plugin.
- Finally, as you can see from
the list above, the total number of builds required to support
all of those versions / platforms is quite large - and grows
by 2-3 for each new Cinema 4D release (32&64bit PC builds,
plus a universal Mac build). So... newer versions of the plugin
will not be available for older release of Cinema 4D, as new
releases are introduced. In other words, each time I need to
start doing a later C4D release build (R13, R14, etc), I'll likely
stop updating the oldest build(s) of the plugin (R10, R11, etc).
Those older versions of the plugin will still be available, but
they may not have all the latest features and/or fixes.
